The organization of the 11th International Symposium on Environmental
Engineering (SIDISA 2020) by DIATI Politecnico di Torino is in progress.
The Symposium is promoted by the National Association of Sanitary and
Environmental Engineering (ANDIS) and the Italian Group of Sanitary and
Environmental Engineering (GITISA) and will be held in the city of Turin
from the 30th of June to the 3rd of July 2020.
It is therefore possible to submit the abstract
) and proceed
with the early bird registration
The Symposium leading theme is the enhancement of the environmental
sustainability of anthropic activities in all fields: water, soil and
atmosphere. This was also the main research activity of Prof. Giuseppe
Genon to whom the Symposium is dedicated. Particularly, his strong
passion for the environment protection has brought to the birth of the
Politecnico di Torino Environmental Engineering Group that, together
with the other national and international groups, is fighting against
the time for the environment preservation. The Symposium is aimed to
achieve a significant step in this direction with the contribute of all
participants and a particular attention to the innovation and
application of advanced technologies. Some prizes will be granted to
authors under 28 years attending the Symposium, in order to celebrate
the Prof. Genon commitment towards environmental education of young people.
Actually three specialized sessions are foreseen:
1) Water management in developing countries (organized by Hydroaid)
2) Waste Management in developing countries
3) Environmental sustainability of mining activities (organized in the
framework of EC Remind Project: Renewable Energies for Water Treatment
and Reuse in Mining Industries).
If you are interested to contribute to one of these sessions it’s
possible to properly select the option during the abstract submission.
Looking forward to seeing you in Torino in 2020
